Ring the doorbell at Alex Monroe's boutique near London Bridge and marvel at the treasure trove of necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings as well as the unique shop fittings.



Taxidermy and vintage bottles, cabinets and a tree are some of the adornments in the boutique which is situated under the workshop where all of the pieces are made.

If you can't make it to the boutique have a look at the 'Trunk Show' section of the website which contains limited edition or one off jewellery designs at reasonable prices.


I love the current bunny pieces inspired by Easter and Spring!

Vogue's Fashion Playground

Vogue & GQ hosted a 'Fashion Playground' event at Westfield Shepherd's Bush on Wednesday. The night involved circus acts, champagne, cocktails and discounts in the designer Village area.  We tried our luck on the grab-a-prize game in Mulberry and enjoyed the Kiehl's consultations and products.


Not as many discounts as we would have hoped, but lots of candy floss and drinks definitely made up for it.

On the way for lunch, I spied a stall in the Jubilee Market selling snake skin and lizard skin handbags. The charming husband and wife duo used to manufacture the bags in London and sell to Harrods; now retired, the couple sell in Covent Garden and Greenwich markets.

Snake skin bags for approximately £30, lizard skin for £40.

If you've been out in Soho drag your hangover back to the scene of the crime to Spuntino. We spied egg and soldiers, truffled egg toast and Bloody Marys on the brunch menu as well as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dessert.

Plates range from £5-£11 so you can keep on ordering if food envy kicks in across the bar.

We think Spuntino is best for brunch and evening drinks...

Damien Hirst Retrospective at Tate Modern

The retrospective features some of Hirst's most famous pieces, including The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living (pickled Shark), A Thousand Years (cows head and flies in a box) and Mother and Child, Divided (pickled cows).


We particularly enjoyed In and Out of Love, a room full of live butterflies...
